« By creating a sensory and emotional bond born of color and light, I seek to take the landscape into a form of abstraction, of lyrical poetry. »Through his paintings, Wei Pen seeks to create a meeting between real and imaginary, between nature and the intimate. In his paintings, color creates form. WeiPen begins his creative process by sculpting on the canvas using a knife and spatula, followed by brushwork with acrylics on linen.
